The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. The Global Goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.
In Season 5, we sit down with stakeholders working across numerous sectors and industries, to find a common language to address, measure and demonstrate the impact that they are making in tackling the 17 Global Goals.
From Berlin to Sydney, from Seoul to Hong Kong, our #impact hosts will bring you stories from all over the globe as you find inspiration on how to make an #impact in your community too.
I AM A COMPLETE OPTIMIST AND YOU HAVE TO BE IN THIS BUSINESS.
A former #impact guest that inspires us in how she tackles the Sustainable Development Goals is Dr Jill Robinson, Founder of Animals Asia Foundation.
WE CAN’T TURN AWAY NOW. WE’VE STARTED IT. WE HAVE SO MUCH TO FINISH.
One of the targets of Sustainable Development Goal 15 is to address both demand and supply of illegal wildlife products and to prevent the extinction of threatened species.
“You can’t un-see things,” this is what Jill says about her experience walking into a Bear Farm in the South of China back in 1993. Since that day her mission is to end cruelty and restore respect for all animals across Asia.
As we are curating our stories for #impact Season 5, our team went back into our archives to bring you Jill’s incredible story that first aired on #impact in October 2017.
