The BEST moments are those when one of my students launches their Podcast. Cue the happy dance for our talented Podcasting Online Course Graduate Veslemøy Klavenes-Berge!
We sat down to talk shop about how she made it from the first idea to launch day.
Stories for the Future podcast celebrates the people making positive changes in our world. We’re all part of creating a fantastic future and we need to hear more stories that make us optimistic! Each episode is an inspirational, fun story about ordinary people doing something unusual or innovative to make the world a better place.
Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today. It comes from Veslemøy’s passion for storytelling for change, storytelling for a future, and the beautiful and powerful possibilities of sharing impact stories.
On her website, she shared this. It put the biggest smile on my face.
We recorded this episode the day before she launched – in August 2020. There she shares how long she had been thinking about starting a Podcast. Listen in and you will find out how and why she finally made it happen.
You will hear how she chose the topic for her Podcast and how it all fits in with a career transition she was going through.
Veslemøy is from Norway and she decided to launch her podcast in the Norwegian language, but she knew she would want to broadcast in English later on as well.
What language to broadcast in, is on many of our multi-cultural students’ minds. Veslemøy gives an insight into how this impacted certain strategic decisions she made, for example, the name of her podcast.
We also talk Audio Editing – and how surprised Veslemøy was by how much fun she was having with it. Like for so many of us when we are starting to podcast, this felt daunting at first.
If you listen all the way to the end you will also hear about her favorite Podcasting tools.
Of course – as always – we openly share about our fun and epic Podcasting fails too. Because making mistakes is part of the journey and so is celebrating, when we do reach the next milestone – like Veslemoy recently launching her Podcast website!
Take a look here, it’s gorgeous and while you are there, make sure to subscribe to Veslemøy’s Podcast as well!
