As a clinical psychologist and counsellor, she has worked with hundreds of at-risk teens struggling with depression and anxiety. She spent her doctorate years researching the factors of youth depression and suicide and investigating the effectiveness of school-based mental health programs.

In this interview, for the very first time, she shares details of her newest initiative #IWTK, an anonymous question-asking platform for every unsure moment and difficult situation in teenage life. “This is for all the times we wished we had someone to turn to. Someone who will not judge us, or make us feel unimportant”, it reads on her website. No matter what the question, Jamie shares her experience, advice, and support to help youngsters get through it all.

She is talking us through her inspiration when founding The Brightly Project, her marketing strategies, biggest challenges and things she would have wanted to know before starting out. You will also find out why a guy people in Hong Kong refer to as the Flyer King is such an inspiration to her.
